To set up Adobe Version 8 to work with older versions of PDF’s

  1. Open Adobe Acrobat Professional or Reader
  2. Go to "Edit" on the tool
  3. Go to "Preferences"
  4. Under the Categories Section
    1. Select "Forms"
    2. Under "Auto Complete"
      1. Change from Basic to Advance
      2. Place a check in the box next to "Remember numeral data"
  1. Under "JavaScript" in the Categories Section
    1. Only enable acrobat JavaScript button and
    2. Use acrobat JavaScript Editor
      (Should be checked.)

Disable "Global object security settings."

This will allow your version 8.0 system to work better with old versions of PDF.
